ROAD JULIET, LADIES FIRST
A few years ago, Merida introduced the very successful JULIET series of female specific models to the off-road sector. Now there is also a small peloton of road machines perfectly adapted to the female physique. These models' geometries follow our well-proven Road Ride concept providing a more upright and comfortable seating position. In addition, active ladies are delighted with several smaller frame sizes and especially attractive colour designs.
Thanks to individual adjustments options, a Road Juliet's brake/shift levers are always within ideal reach for smaller hands. This series also offers sporty saddles tailored to women's demands as well as shorter stems, narrower handlebars and "more gentle" transmission ratios. Meridas Scultura Juliet represents a special case: its racy geometry allowing for a perfect performance oriented seating position, combined with exclusive female components for matching the demands of female speed-lovers.
Nano matrix carbon
NANO-particles reinforce the epoxy-based matrix structure - for up to 40% improved hit-resitance .
Flex stay
Special shaped seat- and/or chain-stays improve vibration-damping and create noticeable comfort.
AWS
Anti Wrinkle System – through three dimensional shaped silicone inserts, which will be removed after the manufacturing process, the internal surface of the carbon monocoque gets significantly improved. Less wrinkles create higher stiffness and improve durability.
Internal cable
Rear brake-cable running inside the top-tube - at some modles additional internal runnung shifting cables at the down-tube.
Carbon fork
Front fork made of carbon composite material; at some models 100% made of carbon composite.
Egg-shaped headtube
Egg-shaped head-tube with semi integrated bearings and bigger dimensions at the tube's centre - for an optimim in head-tube stiffness.
Internal cable
